Journal #1-Self-introduction

If you are looking for a guy who is helpful, quiet and friendly, the most coincidental person is me. I’m a Chinese guy named Chao Li and you can just call me Chao. I have been in the United States for half a year. Now, I’m studying at Central Michigan University. This fall semester is my first time to study with Americans. Therefore, I feel a little bit nervous, because it’s a challenge for me; however, I also feel excited at the same time, the reason is that it’s my first step to get my degree. Then, let me introduce some personal information about myself. During the weekends I have a lot of hobbies, for example soccer, swimming, making friends and even shopping. Now I’m living off campus in order to have my personal space and enjoy some Chinese food. If you want to try some Chinese food, just feel free to call me. My phone number is 989-854-1414. In brief, I think I’m a friendly guy; therefore, if you want to know me deeply, the only thing you need to do is make friends with me.

1. When I came to the U.S. , for the first essay, my teacher let me to choose the topic, then I chose honor; however, the first time I had no idea to organise, so the first time some parts of my essay were confusing. Then I went to the writing centre to correct it and after that I read londly in front of my friend and let her tell me about her opinion in order to figure to the confusing parts, at last I got 96% for my essay and my teacher told me that she would use it as her example to give her students in the future.

2. I don’t like to wriite in my native language, because it’s too difficult to write; however, English is much easier than that. When I was in China, I writing almost everything in Chinese, like notes, paragraphs and compositions.

3. I have never kept a diary or journal for a long time, cause I don’t have a strong willpower and I’m lazy.

4. The most important thing I want to learn in this class is to write an organised well formal essay so that all my classmates and professors can understand the meaning.
